In the inaugural episode of Pushing for Gold, The Berrics gave us a brief look at the skaters qualified to compete with the U.S.A. Skateboarding Team for the Olympics.

The series continues despite setbacks with the Olympics and gives us a closer look at the men’s team in the documentary’s second episode. Team Manager Mark Waters starts off with a brief overview of his career and proceeds to introduce each member and their skating styles. Notable names in the skateboarding world like Nyjah Huston, Dashawn Jordan and Jamie Foy from the Street Team, along with  Cory Juneau, Heimana Reynolds and Zion Wright from the Park Team divulge their introduction to the sport and experiences with competing for the Olympics. Meanwhile, Jagger Eaton is currently the only player in the world competing for both the Park and Street categories in the Olympic qualifying system.

With the 2020 Olympics Games postponed and the rest of the qualifying season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the team remains hopeful and will continue to train for next year.

In related news, take a look The Berrics’ “Battle of the Quarantine.” which brings competition skateboarding to self-isolation.
