Palace Skateboards has announced its latest MLB capsule, linking up with the Detroit Tigers on a seven-piece collection that runs the Tigers’ 313 area code and enlarged team logos across a range of jersey staples and stadium classics. Available in the franchise’s Navy, Orange, and White, the drop covers apparel, headwear, hardgoods, and a custom Rawlings baseball, making it one of the more complete product spreads in Palace’s ongoing MLB series.
The seven pieces break down across two distinct categories: wearables and collectibles. On the apparel and accessories side, a coach jacket leads the outerwear offering, sitting above hooded sweats and t-shirts as the collection’s most substantial garment. A New Era 59FIFTY rounds out the headwear, and socks complete the wearable range. The hardgoods — a skate deck and a custom Rawlings baseball — function as the collection’s most object-forward pieces, each carrying the Tigers’ graphic identity into formats that sit at the intersection of sport and skate culture.
The graphic language is consistent throughout. The 313 area code, Detroit’s telephone area code and a symbol of civic identity, appears alongside enlarged Detroit Tigers logos across the range, a treatment that prioritizes legibility and scale over subtlety. The Navy, Orange, and White palette maps directly to Tigers franchise colors without deviation, keeping the collection anchored in baseball’s visual vernacular rather than filtered through Palace’s own graphic sensibility.
The accompanying campaign was shot in Detroit, featuring the Palace skate team during a visit to the city. The decision to produce the campaign on location rather than in a studio context speaks to Palace’s stated affinity for Detroit, a city the brand has cited for its creative community, skateboarding culture, and techno scene. The Rawlings baseball co-sign and the New Era 59FIFTY partnership each bring franchise-certified hardware into the mix, reinforcing the collection’s credentials as a legitimate sports crossover rather than a graphic licensing exercise.
The Palace Skateboards Detroit Tigers capsule drops July 3 online and at Palace Skateboards stores across the UK, EU, US, and CA. Japan follows online and in-store on July 4, with Australia and New Zealand online, and Korea and Hong Kong in-store on the same date.
