Night City is officially locking down its next high-stakes adventure. Following a deliberate multi-day rollout across social media, CD Projekt Red, Studio Trigger and Netflix have unveiled the first official ensemble key visual for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, cementing an exclusive global streaming window for Fall 2026.
Due to the heartbreaking events of the original 2022 anime, which left the initial crew almost completely flatlined, this highly anticipated 10-episode standalone sequel pivots to a completely fresh mercenary squad charting “a raw chronicle of redemption and revenge.” Under the direction of franchise veteran Kai Ikarashi (SSSS.Gridman), the follow-up intends to explore the absolute extremes required to make one’s story matter in a metropolis blinded by corporate warfare and localized violence.
The new artwork presents four fresh protagonists positioned against a neon‑drenched Night City backdrop. Dominating the foreground is the young boy Roman Carax, an avid cinephile holding an old-school camcorder as a literal “witness to every legend” in a city. On his right is Talia Yang, sporting striking pink hair and a tactical face mask. To the left sits the dark, navy-haired netrunner D, marked by a prominent red facial scar. Towering over the entire group from the rear is Weak “King” Kingsley, a burly, bearded veteran edgerunner wearing tinted shades.
A new teaser trailer for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 will be released later today at 11:30 a.m. EDT via the official Cyberpunk 2077 YouTube channel.
