King Krule Performs His 'Man Alive!' Tracklist Live for the First Time
A gift for his fans following rescheduled tour dates.
English singer-songwriter King Krule returns with a new live performance recording featuring renditions of his latest album Man Alive! for the first time. Recorded at Yoyo Paris for Echoes with Jehnny Beth and set to air on French TV channel Arte on May 1, King Krule decided to drop this visual off a little earlier than expected to coincide with his rescheduled tour dates announcement due to the ongoing Coronavirus crisis. This way, fans will get a feel for what their favorite Man Alive! tracks will sound like live.
The intimate 32-minute live recording spans six songs from Man Alive! and then flows over to his previous album, 2017’s The OOZ. Archy Marshall first debuted his latest creative endeavor with his 16-minute Hey World short film alongside close collaborator and director Charlotte Patmore.
What followed was a strong stream of singles featuring vulnerable and emotive music videos ranging from the grim black-and-white horror-inspired “(Don’t Let The Dragon) Draag On” to the surreal and somewhat more hopeful “Alone, Omen 3”. His latest “Cellular” visual opted for trippy animations courtesy of Jamie Wolfe.
