King Krule Announces New Project with "(Don't Let The Dragon) Draag On" Music Video
The first song from his upcoming album ‘Man Alive!’
Late last November, King Krule debuted four new songs with the release of his Hey World! short film. Self-directed under his real name Archy Marshall alongside close collaborator Charlotte Patmore, the 16-minute lo-fi grainy visual premiered “Perfecto Miserable,” “Energy Fleets,” “(Don’t Let The Dragon) Draag On” and “Alone, Omen 3.” Now the mysterious singer-songwriter returns with an ominous black and white music video for “(Don’t Let The Dragon) Draag On.”
Minimalist guitar chords accent a slow zoom out of Archy’s eyes with a burning fire reflecting in his pupils. As he moves further away in the frame it’s revealed that he’s burning at the stake beneath a full moon in a scene straight from an Ari Aster film. “There’s a dragon in the flames/ Don’t step out/ You’ll get burned by the rain/ It’s a lonely corridor/ Like the walls in a second hand store/ There’s too many puppets/ Marching in the parade/ Put on the mask carry on the charade,” Krule sings in his signature bass.
His next full-length project Man Alive! will release February 21, 2020 followed by a UK/Europe and USA/Canada world tour. Tickets are currently on sale via his official website.
