Grimes Drops Green Screen Visual for "You'll Miss Me When I'm Not Around"
Asking fans to fill in the blanks.
After dropping off her latest studio album Miss Anthropocene last month, avant-pop pioneer Grimes has now returned with a brand new green screen visual for “You’ll Miss Me When I’m Not Around.” The visual has been presented as a way for Grimes — who often reposts fan art on her own Instagram — to interact with fans, who can fill the green backdrop with whatever they choose.
In the video, Grimes is spotted wielding a sword, swinging it around as she executes some pseudo-Tai Chi. She’s uploaded both the video files and audio stems for the track through WeTransfer, so fans can equally play around with the song’s sounds if they choose to do.
