EARTHGANG Returns to Mirrorland With New "Avenue" Animated Visual
Chapter 2 of the duo’s Strangeloop Studios collaboration.
Dreamville duo EARTHGANG returns with another trippy visual from their standout 2019 project Mirrorland, reconnecting with Strangeloop Studios for Chapter 2 of their ongoing collaboration. The animated “Avenue” follows the recently released “LaLa Challenge” animation and the overarching narrative first shaped by the 1978 movie-musical, The Wiz.
In the colorful and hallucinatory music video, flying monkeys, warlocks and cyborgs all populate EARTHGANG’s personal version of the Land of Oz as they follow a red brick road on a journey to nowhere in particular. This Oz is a bit more modern in construction though, as they roam the streets in a hovercraft picking up trash thrown about from the tornado looming in the background. Both music videos follow the horror-inspired “Swivel” music video from Revenge of the Dreamers III. Johnny Venus and Doctur Dot also leant their talents to TOKiMONSTA for her Oasis Noctruno single “Fried for the Night” recently.
