Apple iPhone 9 May Release April 2020
The affordably-priced model may launch by mid-month.

According to industry insiders, Apple‘s budget-minded iPhone 9 may roll out by mid-April. With a spring launch already hinted at by leak experts, the latest news not only confirms the whispers, but offers specific dates.
As noted by Forbes, well-regarded Apple analyst Jon Prosser is estimating a launch event for April 15, while the phone will actually debut at retailers on April 22. Interestingly, this is a later date than the recently-leaked iPhone 9 cases would imply, as they reportedly hit shelves April 5.

Previously known by leak aficionados as the “iPhone SE 2,” the iPhone 9 may have seen its intended release date delayed by the global coronavirus pandemic. Even still, it remains a high priority to Apple, which reportedly aims to offer the iPhone 9 for $399 USD, a significantly lower price at launch than previous new iPhone models — recall the “budget-friendly” $999 USD iPhone X. This is part of the company’s strategy for global conquest, as it aims to make inroads in countries like Brazil, Russia, India and China.
The timely iPhone 9 release date would aid the tech giant in premiering at least one new handset in 2020; its top-shelf iPhone 12 may not see the light of day until 2021. Originally, the 12 was expected to be announced and debuted in September 2020, but experts predict the ongoing health crisis will delay its arrival until the next year.
Most recently, Apple shipped the latest iteration of the iPad.
