Watch Yung Lean Perform New Tracks via Livestream (UPDATE)
Fresh off announcing his ‘In My Head’ documentary.
UPDATE (April 2, 2020): Swedish rapper Yung Lean has returned to offer his fans an experimental concert experience, performing from the back of a truck next to a Russian freighter. The truck’s interior was outfitted as if it were a warm living room set to add some intimacy to the setting. Lean performed the 30-minute set solo and without a fan in-sight to adhere to the ongoing social distancing efforts to stop the spread of the Coronavirus. He unearthed some of his earlier cuts alongside his new “Boylife in EU” single. Watch the full performance above.
ORIGINAL STORY (March 31, 2020): Yung Lean has extended a worldwide invite to his special live performance, set to take place April 2 on YouTube next to a Russian freighter in Stockholm’s Frihamnen harbor. The Swedish rapper, born Jonatan Leandoer Håstad, will perform a mix of rare loosies, debut new material and revisit some his most classic offerings. The visual experience will last for over 30 minutes.
Earlier this year, Yung Lean debuted his Slam Jam “Visualizing Sound” partnership and released his new “Boylife in EU” music video, a vulnerable track that saw the artist deal with paranoia about loyalty and his recurring theme of loneliness. He also announced an upcoming In My Head documentary debuting at the Tribeca Film Festival (which has now since been postponed due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic).
Stay tuned for more from Yung Lean during his impromptu YouTube livestream Thursday, April 2 at 2PM EST. In more music updates, Drake has announced a new song “Toosie Slide” set to release this Thursday.
