Quibi Introduces New '&Music' Docuseries, Exploring Behind-The-Scenes Creatives
Featuring collaborators of Anderson .Paak, Ariana Grande, YG and more.
Rising short-form video platform Quibi has positioned itself as a new way to view mobile storytelling. Launching April 6, the Los Angeles-based company has tapped some of the biggest names in music; Chance The Rapper is slated to revamp Punk’d later this year. Now Quibi is introducing the creatives and unsung artists behind-the-scenes, exploring those who help propel the music industry forward. The new &Music docuseries will focus on choreographers, audio engineers, songwriters and more, giving an entirely new perspective on the world of music in a captivating way.
Each episode will center on a different team like Scott and Brian Nicholson, Ariana Grande‘s choreographers and creative directors during her famed Sweetener World Tour. J Balvin‘s spiritual guide and mentor Ramiro Agudelo ventures on a trip from Medellin to Miami to help the reggaeton icon overcome anxiety. Legendary engineer Derek Ali (known by most as MixedByAli) showcases his work ethic while mixing YG’s latest record “Konclusions” in another episode. Other installments will focus on Anderson .Paak‘s stylist and Ozzy Osbourne‘s writing partner. So far the first season of &Music is slated to release six episodes.
Quibi launches on April 6 with a free 90-day trial offered to users who sign-up before April 20. Check out the full trailer above and stay tuned for more. In more music news, Kanye West talked Trump, Coronavirus and Virgil Abloh’s success in a new interview with WSJ. Magazine.
