Nike Blazer Mid '77 Vintage Appears With "Worn Brick" and "Light Bone" Swooshes
Two more sumptuously-Swooshed styles of the classic silhouette.
Nike‘s ever-popular Blazer Mid ‘77 Vintage has appeared in two crisply-Swooshed makeups: “Worn Brick” and “Light Bone.” The Blazer‘s retro high-top cut and nostalgically low price point have made the onetime basketball shoe worn by the likes of George “The Iceman” Gervin a lifestyle favorite and a staple of Nike Sportswear‘s seasonal offerings. Thankfully, both of these models carry that torch deftly.
Each pair’s upper is dressed in crisp white leather and features shaggy tan suede overlays on the lateral forefoot and toe cap, plus a retro exposed foam tongue with a traditional tag. The main detail is provided by the aforementioned Swooshes — “Worn Brick” offers a rich red hue that’s significantly darker than the Blazer’s past “Habanero Red” makeup, and “Light Bone” offers a super-soft gray shade that’s simultaneously subtle and stylish. Both have Nike text branding stamped on the heel, and are completed by an off-white midsole.
The Nike Blazer Mid ‘77 Vintage “Worn Brick” and “Light Bone” are priced at $100 USD per pair, and are available now on the Nike webstore.
Nike Basketball‘s modern-day sneakers are currently causing a stir as well: Kobe Bryant‘s Kobe 5 Protro has appeared in a “Lakers” colorway that’s set to be the first posthumous Nike Kobe release since Bryant’s passing in January.
