NEIGHBORHOOD Joins WIND AND SEA for Graphic Loungewear
Featuring printed sweats and NEIGHBORHOD’s signature damaged denim.
NEIGHBORHOOD has recently issued a slate of collaborative goods for Spring/Summer 2020, drawsing from the intentionally-blunt artwork of Kostas Seremetis to the dreamlike photographs of Osamu Nagahama. The Harajuku stalwart’s latest partnership is with WIND AND SEA, directed by stylist, photographer and all-around creative Takashi Kumagai, who inspired a range of laid-back graphic loungewear.
Co-branded hoodies, sweatpants and tee shirts comprise the majority of the collection, emblazoned with WIND AND SEA’s bold, stylized logo in contrasting colors, accompanied by NEIGHBORHOOD’s stark branding and a variety of technical text. Embroidered verbiage appears on the sleeves of the T-shirts and hoodies to reinforce the joint effort, while a slouchy shadow plaid shirt sports oversized prints on the rear. A bright yellow beanie lends a soft touch to the grungy goods, while a distressed denim jacket offers rugged contrast, complete with worn hems and a worn-off buckle on the back.
Expect the collaborative collection to hit NEIGHBORHOOD’s website, WIND AND SEA’s web store and select Japanese boutiques on March 28.
