NEIGHBORHOOD Spotlights Kostas Seremetis' Artwork in Graffiti-Inspired Capsule
From graphic T-shirts to boldly printed jackets.

NEIGHBORHOOD has tapped New York-based painter, sculptor and filmmaker Kostas Seremetis for a capsule collection featuring the artist’s graphics and collage works. Since his debut in the ’80s, Seremetis has used graffiti and comic book art inspirations to express a distinct visual language across various mediums that include painting and collage. The upcoming collaboration sees NEIGHBORHOOD imbuing five pieces with the artist’s distinctive work.
Standout layering pieces include a blue M-51-type parka coat with Seremetis’ “POLICE DEPT.” work printed on the front in a layered, crisscross design and a zippered blouson jacket featuring the same work arranged in a pattern reminiscent of The Stars and Stripes. In addition, more conventional hoodies, long sleeves and T-shirts emblazoned with collage graphics — including skulls on wheels, branded bones and cartoon characters like Garfield and Donald Duck — will be available in black and white colorways.
The collection will available beginning March 20 on NEIGHBORHOOD’s website and at stockists nationwide. From March 16 to 22, a pop-up NIEGHBORHOOD store will be held on the second floor of Shibuya Parco, which will include the collaborative collection and select items from NEIGHBORHOOD’s Spring/Summer 2020 collection. Seremetis’ artwork will also be exhibited at the venue.
Most recently, NEIGHBORHOOD unveiled an expansive Spring/Summer 2020 lineup featuring Arabic-inspired script logos and tribal-patterned prints.
