YNW Melly and Juice WRLD Collaborate for "Suicidal" Remix (UPDATE)
Melly remains in prison suspected of a double homicide.
UPDATE (March 13, 2020): YNW Melly and Juice WRLD‘s long rumored “Suicidal” Remix is finally here. The emotional cut comes just three months after the Chicago rapper’s tragic passing through an accidental drug overdose while YNW Melly recently began his court proceedings for his double homicide charges (for which he has pleaded not guilty.) The original track grew to prominence thanks to a helping hand from going viral on social media platform TikTok. YNW Melly’s 2019 effort Melly vs. Melvin debuted at No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 while being incarcerated for the suspected murder of friends Christopher “YNW Juvy” Thomas Jr. and Anthony “YNW Sakchaser.” Meanwhile, Juice WRLD’s estate has been going through his hard drives, combing through over 2000 songs and reference tracks for a potential posthumous album.

ORIGINAL STORY (March 11, 2020): It’s been an entire calendar year since YNW Melly plead not guilty (along with his co-defendant YNW Bortlen) to the double homicide of two friends, rappers Christopher “YNW Juvy” Thomas Jr. and Anthony “YNW Sakchaser.” He continues to be the primary suspect in the case and remains in a Florida prison where he could still face the death penalty if found guilty. That hasn’t stopped the 20-year-old rapper from hinting at new music following the release of his critically-acclaimed We All Shine project featuring Kanye West last January.
His Instagram uploaded a new photo announcement today showcasing the cover art for a new remix to his hit single “Suicidal” with the late Juice WRLD slated to release this Friday, March 13. The original track debuted at No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100. The remix comes just three months after Juice WRLD’s tragic passing. The Chicago rapper recently starred alongside Eminem for the record-breaking “Godzilla.”
