Jack Harlow returns with a new project, the carefully curated 7-track Sweet Action available to stream today on his 22nd birthday. The offering follows the above “WHATS POPPIN” music video directed by Cole Bennett of Lyrical Lemonade, which has since amassed over 15 million views and 70 million streams, undoubtedly giving the Louisville rapper a signature hit in his early career. Sweet Action follows Harlow’s 2019 Confetti mixtape and his charismatic Sandlot-inspired “Walk in the Park” music video.

There’s some serious growth here, as he flexes new melodic chops and leans in to pop-ready anthems like “I WANNA SEE SOME ASS.” Sweet Action took just six months to complete and has its introspective moments too, like on the outro cut “ONCE MAY COMES.” The 7-track ensemble is a fully realized body of work, but that hasn’t stopped Jack from showing off his competitive spirit. Earlier this week he wowed with a new LA Leakers freestyle. GRAMMY Award-nominated producer Jetsonmade teamed up with Pooh Beatz to produce “WHATS POPPIN” while Harlow’s longtime collaborator 2forwOyNE helmed “SMELLS LIKE INCENSE” and “ONCE MAY COMES.”

“The best thing ever is probably when you make something hot. It’s like having sex. It feels so good to make some fly sh*t. You just be feeling it, and like you made it? It’s like God gave you a divine purpose in that moment. It’s crazy,” Harlow told HYPEBEAST last year.

Stream Jack Harlow’s Sweet Action below and revisit HYPEBEAST’s Conversations With: Jack Harlow episode where he talked about getting advice from DJ Drama, touring with Wiz Khalifa and more. In the latest music updates, Don Toliver dipped into the psychedelic for his debut album Heaven or Hell.
