Nipoaloha's Colorful Loungewear Pays Homage to Japanese Artist Itō Jakuchū

Emerging label Nipoaloha is driven by its culturally-centric ethos, which pulls influences from both Japanese and Hawaiian communities in order to craft colorful and versatile garments. The brand divides its collection into “Kimono” and “Artist” subranges, the latter of which has been inspired by Japanese mid-Edo painter Itō Jakuchū for spring.
Nipoaloha’s recent releases encompass several lounge-worthy sets that are inspired by Jakuchū’s Colorful Realm of Living Beings series. The versatile looks are crafted in lightweight cotton and include two vibrant printed editions — peacocks and cockerels, depending on whichever bird you fancy the most.
Each shirt is cut with a V-neck shape for a free-flowing fit. The comfortable vibe continues down to the trousers with the help of a drawstring closure, while their cropped legs with flared cuffs offer a retro finish.
