Nike Air Max 90 FlyEase in Metallic and Colorful Hues Now Available
The step-in style co-designed by Tinker and Tobie Hatfield gets various color treatments.
After being announced in January, Nike‘s Air Max 90 FlyEase has released in two colorways: “White/Metallic Gold” and “White/Deep Royal Blue/Hyper Pink.” Nike Sportswear‘s first-ever co-crafted design from the famed Hatfield brothers — Tinker Hatfield was responsible for the original Air Max 90 last while Tobie Hatfield conceptualized FlyEase tech — the AM90 FlyEase was made for those who need to effortlessly get in to and out of their shoes.
This simplicity of use is enabled by Tobie’s FlyEase heel construction. Sturdy plastic jaws somewhat reminiscent of UNDERCOVER’s popular Daybreak from 2019 surround a soft and supple synthetic leather heel. This ingenious fit system allows wearers to simply step in — collapsing the heel, which then snaps back into place when the foot is fully ensconced in the shoe.
Apart from this simple-yet-brilliant piece of adaptable tech, each shoe gives off an inherently classic Air Max 90 look with familiar colorblocking. The “White/Metallic Gold” uses a mix of airy white leather and mesh as a base and adds gold hues on the eyestays, Swooshes, tongues, midsoles, outsoles and heel. The “White/Deep Royal Blue/Hyper Pink” calls upon a similar white mesh base layer, but equips a healthy dose of blue accents from toe to heel, most notably on the synthetic FlyEase leather and mudguard. Bright pink Swooshes, top eyestays and trim add vibrant contrast to complete the look.
The Nike Air Max 90 FlyEase “White/Metallic Gold” and “White/Deep Royal Blue/Hyper Pink” are both available on the Nike GB webstore now, and retail for £115 GBP (approximately $149 USD).
