A Closer Look at MADNESS's Military-Inspired New Balance 327 Collaboration
Arriving in a trio of colorways.
Recently Shawn Yue teased a new collaboration between MADNESS and New Balance, with the Hong Kong-based label following in Casablanca‘s footsteps by reworking the new 327 silhouette. MADNESS’ take on the retro-inspired sneaker draws heavily from military influences, which are referenced in the construction and colorways of the silhouette.
The collaborative sneaker is set to release in an understated white and beige version, as well as tonal khaki and navy designs. Other features include details on the laces — reading “M.D.N.S. Corps” — as well as a branded canvas tag towards the rear of the shoe, MADNESS embroidery on the heel and the very subtle “N” logo on the sidewall, which is signified using slightly different colored material rather than the textural difference of most New Balance releases.
