After dropping its hefty Megatooth Boots last week, Rick Owens is back with another bold piece from its eclectic Spring/Summer 2020 lineup. The eponymous designer label has unveiled a long black parka that’s been embellished with contrasting white strips of ripstop. The details form an abstract motif of a pyramid, reflecting Owens’ enigmatic design sensibilities.
The piece boasts a sleek elongated build with a boxy cut that ends at the knees. Set against a black foundation, thick wide strips are placed over the front of the body, stretching from the top of the collars to the hemline to accentuate the piece’s elongated cut. Most of the detailing appears at the upper chest, complemented by additional accents at the hood as well as sleek black satin lining. Other nuances like a hidden button flap closure, a long horizontal strap at the back yoke and broadened cuffs round up the garment’s design.
