Rick Owens‘ towering Megatooth boots last made their appearance on the designer’s Fall/Winter 2013 runway, which saw the colossal footwear paired with his dark and androgynous goods. More than half a decade later, the staggering boots have resurfaced in multiple silhouettes, presenting a dusky line-up of lace-up and slip-on styles.
One of the standout new models is the Army Megatooth Boot, which utilizes Owens’ bondage-inspired lacing system to revamp the black lace-ups. The shoes are crafted in grained ram leather and feature tan laces for contrast, while a zipper on the medial side makes for a more flexible opening. Meanwhile, the brand’s Bozo Chelsea boots provide a much sleeker and simpler counterpart in all-black leather.
Rick Owens’ DRKSHDW range also encompasses two pairs of boots that feature the chunky Megatooth sole. The Zip Boot edition is made of cotton twill for a lightweight shell, while silver-tone hardware offers clean design details. Rounding it all out are the Bozo Megatooth Lace-Up Boots in black, adding a final sturdy option to the assortment.
Rick Owens Lace-Up Army Megatooth Boots are priced at $2,080 USD, while the Bozo Megatooth Chelsea Boots are priced at $1,405 USD. Meanwhile, the Rick Owens DRKSHDW Megatooth Zip Boots are priced at $735 USD and the Bozo Megatooth Lace-Up Boots are priced at $750 USD. All styles are available to shop now at SSENSE’s webstore.
