Capcom Announces 'Resident Evil 3' Demo Arriving This Week
Followed by a ‘Resident Evil: Resistance’ open beta as well.
Capcom has officially announced that a demo for its upcoming Resident Evil 3 remake will arrive later this week, with an open beta for its 4 vs 1 PvP mode Project Resistance the following week.
The demo will allow players access to the earliest parts of the full title, as stated by Capcom. “Featuring a slice of the full game that launches on April 3rd, you’ll step into the shoes of Jill Valentine as she attempts to make a desperate escape from Raccoon City as it rapidly descends into chaos,” the official blog post states. Many speculate this section will be the one featured in a recent livestream of the title. Resident Evil 3 has become one of our most anticipated titles this year, with the demo offering a strong suggestion of what’s to come when the game officially arrives in April.
Capcom also announced a beta for Resident Evil 3‘s multiplayer “Resistance,” which was previously announced as a standalone 4 vs 1 PvP asymmetrical co-op title. The title sees four high schoolers team up to escape from a dangerous mastermind who puts various traps and dangerous creatures in their way.
The demo for Resident Evil 3 arrives March 19, with an open beta for “Resistance” mode arriving March 27. The Resident Evil 3 remake launches in full April 3 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
