Vans Presents New Checker Overt CC Silhouette
Combining classic patterns and modern technology.
Vans has presented a new Checker Overt CC silhouette. Debuting in a crisp “True White/Grey” colorway, geared around upgraded comfort and offering a shape somewhat reminiscent of the ever-popular Old Skool, the Checker Overt CC presents a look that’s at once brand new and inherently familiar.
Uppers are constructed of synthetics, canvas and leather, all dressed in white, sail or grey. Quarters are entirely synthetic, with a semi-translucent material equipping a recognizable checkerboard pattern and a debossed Jazz stripe. This modernized midfoot gives way to traditional toeboxes and heels, both of which mix meshes and suedes for enhanced structure.
Laces wind their way through an extended tongue tab, itself which runs the length of the throat before coming to rest above the toebox. A bold, ridged heel tab aids further with easy on/easy off. Down below, a thick ComfyCush midsole with ribbed detailing on the toe bumper and Vans MTE-style lugs on the outsole add some outdoor flair to the city-centric top half.
