Descente PAUSE SS20 Channels Minimal Tech
AURALEE’s Ryota Iwai introduces approachable, seasonal essentials.

Japan’s Descente has a host of sub-labels incorporated under the technical outdoor brand’s umbrella, including the style-conscious ALLTERRAIN and PAUSE imprints, the latter of which is designed by AURALEE’s Ryota Iwai. Descente PAUSE is all about quiet, understated function, informing wearable silhouettes with useful textiles and wearable silhouettes, a motif that informs the label’s Spring/Summer 2020 range.
Along with Descente ALLTERRAIN’s new Suicoke collaboration, the lookbook highlights effortless outerwear and subtly-innovative layering pieces. Executed in tonal hues, items like a high-neck anorak and the “Sheltering Dry” jacket are simultaneously breathable and equipped with weather-fighting fabrics that ensure comfort regardless of sudden downpours. Trim pullover shirts are woven with thermal fibers for a hint of warmth amidst chilly spring breezes while seamless T-shirts and drawstring-equipped packable pants are designed for maximum comfort year-round.
Descente’s web store and select stockists will introduce the new range in the coming weeks.
Nike recently introduced its own cutting-edge wearable tech by way of the inflatable ISPA jacket.
