Converse Japan’s Addict line is the company’s answer to its Western counterpart’s Chuck Taylor 70, with even more opulent detailing informing its shoes. The Addict line is also extremely limited, unlike the more easily available 70, dropping specific styles in exclusive quantities twice a year.

For Spring/Summer 2020, Addict is introducing four silhouettes: three Chuck Taylors and a new One Star slide sandal. Similar to the 2018 general release model, the new One Star sandal features uncompromising touches like a Vibram Megagrip outsole and pigskin-lined PORON EVA footbed and suede strap.

These exquisite accents complement the Chucks, which boast tough canvas uppers, reinforced rubber trim, a Vibram sole unit, removable PORON footbeds and a special lining. OUTLAST, originally developed for NASA use, lines the sneakers, ensuring unbeatable temperature regulation.

Visit Converse Japan’s Addict page for more information. The limited edition kicks won’t drop on Converse Japan’s web store, however — only select Japanese retailers will soon offer the shoes.

Meanwhile, Japanese label TAKAHIROMIYASHITA TheSoloist. joined up with the Western branch of Converse for a unique set of CX Disrupt sneakers.
