Russell Maurice Crafts Hand-Painted Ceramics of Morphed 'Snow White' Dwarfs
As part of a new Tokyo exhibit called “Crawl out from the fallout.”

Artist and designer Russell Maurice, widely known as the founder of London-based label Gasius, will display a new body of work for an upcoming solo exhibition at Tokyo’s SO1 Gallery. Titled “Crawl out from the fallout,” the presentation features hand-painted ceramic statues of morphed Snow White dwarfs, neon paint-splattered mushrooms, and more Frankenstein-esque creations.
Accompanying the ceramics is a series of mounted, acrylic-based works that house more of the artist’s creatures made of cut-up toy parts. With these works, the artist explores a psychedelic post-apocalyptic future with the show’s title inspired by a song from the band, Thee Oh Sees.
“Crawl out from the fallout” will run through March 19 until March 29 at the address below.
