In celebration of the major Andy Warhol retrospective launching March 12 at the Tate Modern, the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts and maharishi have teamed up for an exclusive apparel release. Exploring the artist’s interest in life and death, the drop features a cotton twill jacket and statement trousers featuring images from Warhol’s 1976 Skull series.

The black stadium jacket is adorned with a raw edge applique skull — screen printed from a photograph taken by one of Warhol’s assistants — with Warhol’s “Everybody’s sense of beauty is different from everybody else’s'” quote embroidered in the artist’s own handwriting. Alongside ribbed cuffs, two front pockets, and center front press snap openings, the jacket boasts a Tate and maharishi collaborative logo. The museum’s distinctive dot logo is paired with maharishi’s signature in red embroidery.

Utilizing colorful sections from four pieces used in the Skull series, the striking trousers are covered in an all-over photographic print. The pants can be worn full length, three-quarter or as shorts by buttoning the internal strap onto the leg seam at the desired height. Bold yet practical, the trousers are fully adjustable around the waist and feature two press snap-closure pockets on the rear.

Take a closer look at the collaborative jacket and trousers above. Ranging from £295 to £395 (approx. $380 USD to $510 USD), the Andy Warhol-inspired apparel will drop on maharishi’s website beginning March 20 at 11 a.m. EST.

In other news, UNIQLO UT has released “Urban Walls,” a line that celebrates artists famous for using the streets as the canvas for their visual art.
