BAPE's 20th Anniversary BAPESTA Drops Continue With Striking OG Colorways
Glossy patent leather, faux snakeskin and 3M-accented styles.

After serving up a patchwork denim iteration of its signature sneaker, BAPE has turned its attention to more conventional BAPESTA fare. Specifically, silhouettes that directly recall the classic creations that many fans associate the brand’s early-aughts heyday, accompanied by a few progressive low-top styles.
Three different styles of BAPESTA are on hand, including three mid-top styles that reflect the timeless trio of original colorways. The familiar dark brown/pink/tan, grey/green/orange and red/yellow/blue designs are again envisioned in patent leather that wraps the entirety of the tall shoes’ uppers, complete with versatile white sole unit and branded lace locks.
Accompanying these tradition-indebted models are two new low styles. One features Kanji embossing atop tonal matte leather, with metallic silver Stars that reflect light thanks to subtle 3M detailing. Offered in both black and white, their counterparts feature another striking uniform design: mottled snakeskin that wraps the sleek upper from toe to heel, including the Star. Black sockliners and laces lend an understated feel to the shoes, allowing the pattern to do the talking, similar to the recently-released Zebra BAPESTAs.
BAPE’s web store and global flagships will carry all the above on March 14 at 11 a.m. EST.
Most recently, BAPE rejoined Levi’s for a series of Miami-exclusive denim goods
