Reebok Engineers All-New Zig Kinetica Concept_Type2
Tech-heavy seasonal sneakers.
Reebok has extended its line of futuristic Zig Kinetica sneakers with the all-new Concept-Type2, releasing in the colorways “Black/Seaport Teal/Mystic Orchid” and “Night Black/True Grey 7/Radiant Red.”
The new sneaker follows on from the Concept_Type 1 and R58 models released only a few months ago, this time around sporting a lightly redesigned upper that combines mesh with a stitched-on synthetic suede overlay.
Reebok’s Zig Kinetica Concept-Type2 maintains its unique heritage-inspired sole unit, incorporating Floatride Fuel cushioning, the kinetic energy-returning Zig Energy Shell that wraps around the foam midsole, and its Zig Energy Bands that wrap around the outsole to encourage further energy return.
For its launch, Reebok serves up two iterations — one taking on a “Mystic Orchid” color scheme and another in “Radiant Red.” The former is season-appropriate, adopting various shades of blue, grey and purple and using this over a mixture of materials, including the icy sole unit, whereas the red version is joined by a heavy usage of black and grey for a more technical aesthetic.
