NikeCourt Revives Legendary Tech Challenge Line
By way of a new Tech Challenge 20 silhouette dressed in the Air Tech Challenge 2’s famous “Lava” colorway.

Andre Agassi and NikeCourt irrevocably changed the world of tennis footwear in 1990 with the Air Tech Challenge 2 — and now, 30 years later, Nike‘s tennis subdivision is reviving the Tech Challenge line with the new NikeCourt Tech Challenge 20. Juxtaposing a signature “Lava” colorway with a modern-day construction, the Tech Challenge 20 was built to exceed the demands of the modern-day game and look good doing it.
Dressed in white and equipped with high-heat red and black accents, the Tech Challenge 20 features a white leather upper with an asymmetrical collar that provides support and flexibility in equal measures. This asymmetrical aesthetic is carried on by the large heel Air Max unit, which is hidden on the medial side to increase durability during slides. “Lava” detailing is concentrated on the lateral and medial heel pods, but further flair is added by heel Nike Air logos, NikeCourt tongue badges and striking black trim. Modified herringbone patterns on the high-grip rubber outsole ensure championship-level traction and complete the look with a mix of red, black and extra Swooshes.
The Nike Air Tech Challenge 20 will release on February 26 for Nike members before receiving a full Nike webstore release February 29. A retail price has yet to be announced.
