LESS Taiwan Recruit Face Oka for Referential Graphic Collaboration
Playful odes to Bruce Lee, Takeshi Kitano and Da Vinci
LESS Taiwan, no stranger to to head-turning collaborations, has recruited artist Face for a series of graphic goods. Face’s tongue-in-cheek illustrations have graced goods from Pigalle, NUMBER (N)INE and HUMAN MADE, plus magazines like SNEEZE and Richardson; for this expansive “FACE/LESS” partnership, the Taiwanese/Japanese creative delivered three unique designs.
Each design references Da Vinci‘s Last Supper, Takeshi Kitano’s yakuza thriller Brother or Bruce Lee, tweaking these familiar images with Face’s deceivingly simple-looking doodles and color palette. Each image is realized across seasonal staples like T-shirts, hoodies and strap-embued coaches jackets, offered in both versatile and stark colors. Along with the wearables, the collection includes various accessories, including a wireframe light, pillow and skate decks, complete with co-branded logos.
Look for the goods to hit LESS Taiwan’s web store and physical outpost later this month by way of a special in-store pop-up.
Meanwhile, the Louvre’s ongoing Da Vinci exhibition is set to wrap its final weekend.
