H.E.R. Delivers New Dialed Back Acoustic Single "Comfortable"
Her second single of the year following a memorable performance at the GRAMMYs.
After debuting her new single “Sometimes” at the 2020 GRAMMY Awards, H.E.R. returns for a new stripped down, acoustic offering with “Comfortable” featuring production by DJ Camper and additional backing vocals from Anthony Clemons, Jr.
H.E.R. may have leaned into a more pop and hip-hop driven direction with the Bay Area tribute that was the “Slide” Remix featuring Pop Smoke, A Boogie Wit da Hoodie and Chris Brown, but “Comfortable” is a return to the fundamentals. The acoustic guitar driven instrumentation is accented by just the right amount of modern production cues crescendoing by song’s end, as the track would have been the perfect compliment to her NPR Tiny Desk Concert performance from a few years back. The new single also pairs nicely with the recently unveiled “Sometimes” and hints at a larger project coming in the future, following last year’s I Used To Know Her which earned H.E.R. 5 GRAMMY Nominations.
