LISA has officially released PRESS PLAY, a six-track EP built around a cinematic concept that asks listeners to settle in and hit play as if a movie were about to start. The project arrives today alongside a music video for focus track “Tarantino,” capping a run that has already delivered a record-breaking YouTube debut, a historic VMA win and a sold-out Las Vegas booking.
The film framing shapes how the EP is sequenced, with six tracks moving like scenes rather than a loose collection of singles. “SaWaDiKa” opens the reel, followed by “V12” and “Cobra,” before “Tarantino” lands as the centerpiece and “Cut U Off” and “Sweat” carry things to the closing credits.
“Tarantino” gets the blockbuster treatment on screen. Its video follows LISA on a mission through a hotel to hand-deliver a note to the director himself, throwing punches at anyone standing between her and the delivery. The action-heavy choreography leans straight into the genre the track is named after, making it the clearest visual statement of the EP’s movie concept.
The project’s opener already arrived with serious numbers. “SaWaDiKa,” named after the Thai greeting for “hello,” came with a video shot in LISA’s hometown of Bangkok that pulled in more than 70.8 million YouTube views in its first 24 hours. That tally places it among her biggest YouTube debuts and makes it the top YouTube debut of 2026, while the song entered the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 69 for her highest debut on the chart to date. She gave the track its television debut at the MTV VMAs, where she also won Best Pop for “Dream” featuring Kentaro Sakaguchi and became the first solo K-pop artist to take the category.
Las Vegas is the next stop on the rollout. LISA’s “VIVA LA LISA” Residency takes over The Colosseum at Caesars Palace for six nights in November, after the first four shows sold out in under 10 minutes and two more dates were added. The run makes her the first K-pop artist to headline a Las Vegas residency.
Her story is also playing out on the big screen. Always Lalisa, a feature documentary directed by Sue Kim, is now in cinemas worldwide following its Toronto Film Festival premiere, tracing her breakout solo year around the release of Alter Ego, the launch of LLOUD and her solo Coachella debut.
