This New Balance 992 "Colorblock" Colorway is Available Now Via Pre-Order
The ever-classic dad shoe keeps its momentum rolling into 2021.
It goes without question that one of the star sneakers in 2020 was the New Balance 992 as it released in a wide array of collaborations with the likes of KITH, JJJJound, Packer and more. And now it look as though it will be aiming to keep its momentum rolling into the new year with this brand new New Balance 992 “Colorblock” installment.
The pair sports a rather busy color story, but effectively unifies neutral-toned overlays with vibrantly styled layers underneath. The former is seen through the suede mudguards and mid-foot sections as they split between dark charcoal grey and lighter beige, while the latter merges together royal blue toe boxes, lateral forefoot molds and collar panels with teal notes stacked on top. Striking contrasts of yellow poke out through the laces and heel counter that rests just above the midsole.
More neutral traits can be found in the “USA” heel windows which see through to angelic embroidery and grey, fence-like patterns, as well as the jet black hue which is held responsible for blanketing the tongues, treading and heightened heel overlays.
If these 992‘s seem like your cup of tea, you can find them available now via pre-order over at Saks Fifth Avenue for $175 USD.
Elsewhere in the sneaker world, a Stray Rats x New Balance 574 capsule is launching next month.
