Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield Rumored to Join Tom Holland For 'Spider-Man 3'
Could the multiverse be really happening?
After news of Benedict Cumberbatch and Jamie Foxx joining the cast of the yet to be named Spider-Man 3 film, we are now learning that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield are now in talks to reprise their respective roles as Peter Parker/Spider-Man for the Spider-Man: Far From Home sequel.
The casting rumors and confirmed news is pointing to the Marvel Cinematic Universe setting up its multiverse which would also theoretically help make all past Marvel films MCU canon. According to reports, Maguire and Garfield are in discussion to appear in a Sony and Marvel film still in development that would see all three Spider-Men going toe to toe with their past and new villains. Although nothing is set in stone regarding the multiverse, reports are noting that a finalized version of the script is almost complete.
