Smokepurpp Disrupts an Art Gallery With Denzel Curry in "What I Please" Video
A standout track from Purpp’s latest ‘Deadstar 2’ mixtape.
Smokepurpp debuted his latest single “What I Please” with a looped animation that showed him and fellow Floridian Denzel Curry driving away from a demon in a Deadstar 2 themed Mario Kart-esque Audi. Now a month after the release of his latest mixtape, Purpp returns with an official music video that finds him and Denzel disrupting a black and white art gallery with some added VHS-inspired color. The song even gives producers Quadwoofer, OJ Finessey, Mike Hector and KBeaZy some added love with brief cameos.
Earlier this month, the rapper spoke to HipHopDX about a potential Kanye West feature that fell through. “He kind of just changed his ways or whatever,” he said. “Mike Dean mixed the whole album—he executive produced the whole album. So he pretty much just told me [Kanye's] not really cursing and sh*t… [Mike Dean] was like, ‘Yo, it was going to be harder to get it cleared because he doesn’t curse no more.’ I was just, like, f*ck it, just put it away. He’ll change again.”
Outside of Denzel Curry, the project also boasts collaborations with Trippie Redd, Ty Dolla $ign, Lil Pump, Lil Skies and more.
