To celebrate Chinese New Year and the Year of the Rat, Louis Vuitton has prepped a series of themed dials for its Tambour Horizon smartwatch. Proving its increasing innovation focus, the 12 new dials play with the house’s iconic styles and symbols of the Chinese zodiac. Illustrations of the rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog and pig are all placed in front of a red skeleton monogram background. Each animal is pictured holding a carrying option from the malletier’s iconic range.

Powered by Wear OS by Google, and running the Snapdragon Wear 3100 platform, Louis Vuitton’s Tambour Horizon smartwatch features a 42mm case marked with LV’s signature iconography. Referencing the house’s spirit of travel, luxury values and creativity, the accessory features a “My Travel” function, “LV City Guide” app, agenda/calendar app, a fitness app and a “Pollution” function that monitors air quality. The battery-powered watch is available in polished steel, matte black PVD, matte brown PVD, white ceramic and white ceramic with gem-set horns toolings.

Louis Vuitton’s Chinese New Year 2020 dials are available now on the Tambour Horizon connected watch.
