The 500-piece edition pairs a warm gold-colored dial with titanium, black ceramic and zodiac-inspired detailing.
Summary
IWC dropped a 500-piece titanium Pilot’s Watch for the Year of the Goat.
It features a gold dial, ceramic bezel, and three-goat rotor.
The automatic movement swaps the eighth-day numeral for a Chinese "goat" character.
IWC is continuing its annual Chinese New Year series with the Pilot’s Watch Performance Chronograph 41 Year of the Goat, a limited-edition created for the lunar year beginning on February 6, 2027.
Where previous festive releases leaned on deep burgundy tones, the new reference IW388310 becomes the first in the series to use a gold-colored dial, chosen for its associations with fortune, prosperity and prestige in Chinese culture. The warm metallic surface is offset by black chronograph counters and a black ceramic bezel, while the brushed titanium case keeps the overall look rooted in IWC’s performance-oriented Pilot’s Watch language rather than pushing fully into decorative territory.
The symbolism continues beyond the dial. Gold-plated hands complement the main surface, while the chronograph maintains IWC’s familiar vertically aligned subdial layout and a day-date display at 3 o’clock. On the eighth day of each month, however, the usual numeral “8” is replaced by the Chinese character for “goat,” adding a subtle calendar-specific detail.
The most elaborate reference appears on the reverse, where the gold-plated oscillating weight is sculpted as three goats, a motif traditionally associated with bliss and positive energy. Beneath it sits IWC’s automatic 69385 manufacture calibre, running at 4 Hz and offering a 46-hour power reserve, while the 41mm titanium case provides 10-bar water resistance. A black calfskin strap fitted with IWC’s EasX-CHANGE system rounds out the watch, allowing tool-free swaps.
The Pilot’s Watch Performance Chronograph 41 Year of the Goat is limited to 500 examples worldwide and is currently listed by IWC across selected regional markets, priced at 10,400 CHF (approx. $ 12,600 USD).
