ISSEY MIYAKE has officially unveiled the ISSEY MIYAKE TL, a new watch series created in collaboration with designer Todd Blucher. Grounded in the concept of “timeless universality in everyday life,” the timepiece is engineered to re-examine daily functionality, usability, and pure aesthetic sensibilities as a cohesive whole.
Constructed without superfluous decoration, the design centers on adaptability across different settings, balancing classic proportions with modern clarity. The watch is housed in a stainless steel case measuring 39.5mm in diameter and 13.4mm in thickness, topped with curved Hardlex glass and set with a 20.0mm lug width. Internally, the watch is driven by a mechanical automatic winding NH34 caliber with manual winding capability, running on 24 jewels with an accuracy rating of +45 to -35 seconds per day and an approximate 41-hour power reserve. A dedicated 24-hour hand delivers integrated dual-time display functionality.
Weighing roughly 65.2 grams, the casing is paired with a cowhide leather band configured for wrist sizes spanning 135mm to 203mm. The construction features an enhanced 5 ATM water resistance rating for daily wear and includes a standard two-year brand warranty.
The watches are set to be available in-stores starting on October 22. Pre-orders are now available online until October 20.
