NILMANCE FW19 Is Dystopian Techwear at Its Finest
Filled with DYNEEMA, SCHOELLER 3L, and DWR-coated textiles.
NILMANCE has delivered its Fall/Winter 2019 collection, continuing with its dystopian tinged approach to functionally-aligned technical apparel. Filled with all-weather ready garments, the new range totes a variety of seasonal staples from outerwear to fleece zip-ups, trousers, and accessories.
Set in a dystopian timeline where civilization has crumbled, the NILMANCE FW19 epitomizes a new era of clothing whereby humans are “no longer focused solely on pure aesthetics,” but rather, “on the workability and functionality” necessary for survival within a post-apocalyptic world. Designer and founder Mike Yeung continues in offering up a futuristic take on military aesthetics, whereby multi-functionality can be seen in the ultra-durable DYNEEMA and 3-layer waterproof SCHOELLER textiles employed.
Standouts from the range include the ANTC-06 anorak, which employs a thermo-sensitive resin for a unique heat activated aesthetic and a plethora of zip closures and pockets for added functionality, as well as the PJ-02 jacket which utilizes a waterproof and breathable SCHOELLER 3L fabric and a bevy of functionally-forward details. More pieces include water-resistant nylon vests, 3M Thinsulate trousers, and more.
You can take a look at the graphic novel-like lookbook in the gallery above and see a variety of the product images below. A plethora of the pieces are currently available via NILMANCE’s webstore with a set retail price between $45 and $720 USD.
