Cuco Shares New Video for Psychedelic 'Para Mi' Standout "Keeping Tabs"
“I don’t know why baby but I’m feeling blue.”
After many months of anticipation and buzz-building, Cuco finally served up his debut studio album Para Mi this past July. Made up of 13 tracks, Para Mi gave its creator’s ever-growing, global fanbase a multi-genre blend of psychedelically-propelled, culturally-informed records; from bossa nova to contemporay “bedroom pop,” Cuco explores and experiments with it all on his recent LP. Now, following up the video for “Feelings,” the southern California artist is unveiling a new visual for another one of Para Mi’s memorable compositions, “Keeping Tabs.” For Cuco’s latest vignette, Cirqua (Pasqual Gutierrez, RJ Sanchez) and Paranoiia (Andrea Sastoque, Ariel Navarrete) come together to bring his creative vision to life.
“I’m not just making music for Latin people. I’m making music for everybody,” Cuco explained to NME earlier this year, opening up about his creative motivations and artistic approach for a July 2019 profile. “I’m a super music geek. I learnt to play every other instrument and I taught myself how to produce … I just got into and acquired shit … I love doing that all by myself. As a solo artist, I want to know how all of that sounds like.”
