After recently teasing the forthcoming project alongside Samuel Ross and his A-COLD-WALL* imprint, Diesel has revealed further details surrounding the next chapter of its experimental Diesel Red Tag project. With a variety of pieces teased this past June at A-COLD-WALL*’s Spring/Summer 2020 show, the collaboration highlights utilitarian details that have been imbued into a range vegetable-dyed garments, avant-garde workwear, and more. Innovative approaches to design are exceedingly showcased, whereby translucent denim seam taping and Devoré fabric techniques showcase the unique infusion of both brand’s distinctive aesthetics.
The capsule collection was recently presented via an installation during New York Fashion Week, showcasing the unique blend of Diesel’s long-standing history with denim and Ross’ forward-thinking approach to conceptual design. In line with this, the capsule sees various denim fabrics interplayed with Ross’ signature use of memory nylons, spotlighted in various acid-bleached pieces, a deconstructed and distressed parka, and more.
The full lookbook — shot by Rob Rusling — will launch later this year. While initial preorders for the collection launched at the NYFW installation, the full capsule will release via Diesel’s webstore, A-COLD-WALL*’s webstore, and various Diesel flagships around the globe on December 4.
