Trippie Redd Reconnects with Diplo for His Latest Single "!"
His new album is on its way.
Towards the end of July, Trippie Redd linked up with Lil Baby and Lil Duke for a new collaborative record known as “Mac 10.” Now, for his latest major single, the 20-year-old star is reconnecting with Diplo for an electronic-leaning track titled “!.” Notably, “!” also serves as the title track for Trippie Redd’s next major studio album.
“Damn, that sh*t hurt, bae / That sh*t hurt in the worst way / Why’d we fight in the first place?” Trippie Redd croons on “!,” waxing poetic about a troubled love. “Always mad on a Monday / Mind on a runway / I see you wanna run ‘way / Sometimes I wanna run away, yeah.”
“I just like rock music. That sh*t fire. A person like me, because I’m so melodic, I can go anywhere with my voice,” Trippie Redd recently explained to us during an episode of MIC/LINE, breaking down the artistic approach that births songs like “!.” “So that’s why it’s just so amazing to do rock, because you could just go anywhere. You could sing anything. I could sing anything.”
