Rucci Unveils New Video for 'Tako's Son' Highlight "I Ain't Gon Lie"
Directed by Mr. Real Movie.
Last week, Inglewood legend-in-the-making Rucci released his anticipated debut studio album Tako’s Son. Propelled by its lead single “Keep Going,” Tako’s Son served as it’s creator’s first project for EMPIRE and delivered 14 new tracks to listeners, including joint records with Shoreline Mafia, Kalan FrFr, AzChike, 1TakeJay and more. Now, further supporting his latest full-length effort, Rucci is sharing a new music video for one of its standout selections, “I Ain’t Gon Lie.” The aforementioned track was brought to life by one of Rucci’s close visual collaborators and one of his area’s fastest-rising and most talented up-and-coming music video directors, Mr. Real Movie (@MrRealMovie).
“The North side of Inglewood is basically controlled by my dad and it’s blossoming right now,” Rucci recently explained to us, sharing some insight into the back-story behind Tako’s Son and its title. “It’s all under my dad, we’re all Tako’s Son. He made sure everyone had a place to stay, he didn’t raise any of us to focus on materialistic shit, it was about loyalty.”
