Rucci Serves up Hard-Hitting Bars at Home for New "Ain't Nothin" Visual
The Inglewood rapper is back with a new single.
Back in March, Rucci left a pretty significant impression on us with the release of “Wishin On A Star Pt. 2,” a Selena-sampling sequel to a standout cut off his 2018 studio project El Perro. Now, with EMPIRE backing his movement, the fast-rising Inglewood rapper is serving up a new single and visual to kick off his next promotional campaign; specifically, Rucci is teaming up with director Juddy Remix Dem — a go-to visual collaborator for many young West Coast up-and-comers — to deliver the music video for a Jay P Bangz-produced track titled “Ain’t Nothin.”
“The music I’m making now, I’m talking shit but I’m talking it in a calmer way — like RBL Posse-type shit mixed with some Bone Thugs shit, but then tapping in to my Hispanic side,” Rucci revealed to us last December, sharing some insight into his current creative process. Although “Ain’t Nothin” finds Rucci sticking to his aggressive signature sound, expect much more than his usual trigger talk once his next full-length arrives.
“With my shit, I’m bringing back that original West Coast sound. It’s that 90s shit, but still has that swag with it,” Rucci previously told us, breaking down his current sonic approach. “I’m still talking about the culture and day-to-day shit, but mixed with that gangsta shit. It’s like that fly gang-banging shit, but on a whole other level now.”
