E-40 Enlists Quavo, Roddy Ricch, A$AP Ferg & ScHoolboy Q for "Chase the Money"
The Bay Area icon introduces his 29th album with a new video.
Over the weekend, E-40 revealed plans for his 29th studio album, Practice Makes Paper. Made up of 29 new tracks, Practice Makes Paper finds the 51-year-old reaching out to talented young stars and fast-rising up-and-comers like Sada Baby, Roddy Ricch, G-Eazy, P-Lo, Tee Grizzley, Quavo and $tupid Young, as well as established veterans and household names like Scarface, Redman, Method Man, ScHoolboy Q, Rick Ross, Boosie Badazz and Wiz Khalifa; the LP also serves as the full-length follow-up to 2018’s The Gift of Gab project, which contained 12 tracks and showcased a similar approach to collaborating. To introduce his next major studio project, E-40 is serving up a Ben Griffin-directed music video for Practice Makes Paper‘s lead single, “Chase the Money.” Notably, “Chase the Money” features Quavo, A$AP Ferg, ScHoolboy Q and Roddy Ricch, with CHASETHEMONEY coming through to provide the production.
“I think a lot of people be for themselves. If something be working for them for many years, and they ain’t never been one to spit the game as a mentor, they gon’ stay in their element,” E-40 recently told us during an episode of our MIC/LINE podcast series, breaking down his responsibilities as one of the rap game’s elder statesmen.
