Converse Chuck 70 Receives Patchwork American Flag Makeover
A Stars and Stripes mash-up.

Converse has more hybrid Chuck Taylors in store, delivering a reconstructed take on an archival design in both full-color and monochrome iterations. An American Flag pattern informs the uppers of the high top sneaker, broken up into patchwork sections by delicate stitches.
Offered in both classic red, white and blue and black/white, the shoes feature solid patterns on the lateral side, with broken-up organic canvas paneling on the medial side pieced together by a line of white stitches, which also hold the Converse badge onto the ankle. The Frankenstein motif is underlined by a hybrid midsole that sees the a white rubber portion interrupted by a faux-yellowed counterpart. A graphic outsole, metal eyelets, black foxing and stitches down the ankle complete the playful design.
Shop the shoe’s two iterations on Converse’s site for $120 USD.
