Converse has created a hybrid sneaker which combines the classic Chuck 70 with the ERX260, a ’90s basketball silhouette which has seen a revival in recent months.

The Chuck 70 E260 comes in “Black/White” and “Natural Ivory/Egret,” and utilizes the simplistic Chuck 70 shape for its base. Elements from the ERX260 including various overlaying panels, bold “CONS” branding, the rear heel clip and a textured leather tongue are carried over into this all-new offering, which comes together to create a technical and sporty take on the classic Converse design.

Other additions to the Chuck 70 E260 include the small star emblem seen on the lateral side panel, which differs from the ERX260 as it is cut into the fabric rather than placed on top like a gem. A similar stitching method has been implemented to continue the hybrid theme, giving the Chuck 70 new designs towards its toe box, on the forefoot, on the heel and up onto the collar.

Rounding off the Chuck 70 E260 is Converse’s signature sole unit, which is served in an off-white hue for both colorways. The sole unit is finished with a black trim all around and a complementing license plate sporting the “ALL STAR” motif.

Take a look at the hybrid pair in the gallery above, and pick up both colorways from retailers such as BSTN for €99.99 EUR (approx. $110 USD) when they release sometime in the coming weeks.
