BROCKHAMPTON Shot New Visuals for "Dearly Departed" In One Seamless Take
Directed by Kevin Abstract himself.
After unveiling first week projections for BROCKHAMPTON’s fifth studio album GINGER, the Californnia-based rap collective has returned with its latest visuals for “Dearly Departed,” the seventh track off GINGER.
Directed by the group’s frontman Kevin Abstract himself, the video kicks off with a clean, symmetrical shot of a living room as five members from the group enter the frame wearing silver boiler suits. As the track plays, the camera gets up close and personal with each member as they exchange verses about losing a loved one. Ashlan Grey took the role of Director of Photography, while Henock Sileshi, the creative director of BROCKHAMPTON, worked on color and editing. Measuring just past the five-minute mark, the video was shot in one seamless take.
