Bonnie Clyde Launches FW19 Eyewear Collection in Playful Colorways
Such as “Candy Papi,” “Japanese Gold,” and “Green Tea.”
Bonnie Clyde Eyewear, launched in 2016 by designer Jon Yuan, has released its Fall/Winter 2019 lookbook featuring four new styles for the upcoming season.
The collection includes the Hiro, Beam, Cielo and Traction silhouettes that combine striking shapes and construction with a playful color palette. Colorways include “Candy Papi,” “Japanese Gold,” “Red Witness,” “Bushido Black,” and “Green Tea.” Bonnie Clyde will only release a limited run of styles in order to minimize production and waste. The sunglasses are made with 100% biodegradable plant-based acetate, with nylon lenses and stainless steel that allows for their high-quality durability and flexibility.
Growing up, Yuan’s parents had a wholesale sunglasses business which led to family vacations to eyewear trade shows and trips to different factories. With Bonnie Clyde, Yuan and his brother are able to continue their parent’s legacy. Yuan’s belief is that fashion should be made unisex as an expression of the true self, thus “Bonnie Clyde” combines female and male names into a singular entity that focuses on gender-neutral eyewear.
The ‘Traction’ style is out now for $84 USD with the rest of the collection set to launch soon. Shop the looks on Bonnie Clyde Eyewear’s online store.
