First Look at the Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 270 React "Cactus Jack" (UPDATE)
The Cactus Jack general’s latest Nike collab.
UPDATE (December 18, 2019): Ahead of its rumored Spring 2020 release, we’ve been given a first look at Travis Scott’s Air Max 270 React “Cactus Jack.” Although the silhouette is a 270 React in name, it’s vastly different than any of its in-line counterparts. The upper takes on a tan and brown color scheme, and is dressed with wavy overlays that play up the midsole’s signature grooves. This striking base is contrasted by grey and red accents on the tongue and eyestays, while branding is provided by an assortment of small Swooshes.
Both heel and tongue pull tabs are tremendously detailed: the former uses crossed strips of fabric that feature Scott’s signature “Cactus Jack” logo while the latter adds a purple and blue lace lock. A plush sockliner and terry cloth collar overlay offset the upper’s technical construction. Down below, the React/Air Max combo midsole is dressed entirely in a burnished gold, adding a healthy dose of weathered style.
An official release date for the Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 270 React “Cactus Jack” has yet to be announced, but reports place its arrival in Spring 2020 — potentially as part of March’s annual Air Max Day festivities. See a detailed set of images here in the meantime.
ORIGINAL STORY (July 22, 2019): Following a slew of successful releases, Nike is rumored to be working with Travis Scott on an Air Max 270 React collaboration.
Slated for a full family size Spring 2020 release, the potential team-up is expected to center around the Earthy once again. Although no images have surfaced just yet, the color palette reported includes hues of “Light Cream,” “Starfish” and “Dark Hazel.” Since its release earlier this year, the Air Max 270 React has quickly become a lifestyle favorite that brings together two of Nike’s newest sole performance innovations.
